What is the best time of the year for diving in Loreto? You can dive in Loreto all year around. However you'll have the best diving conditions between the month of June and October.
I am staying in another hotel, can I participate in activities with Baja Outpost? Yes, you may participate in any of the activities that we offer, and we will arrange to pay for the transfers from and to
your hotel.
Are we likely to see the Whales? During the past 5 seasons that we have operated our tours, we have had only 1 day that we did not see the whales. This incredible success is
largely due to the fact that we begin offering our tours at least a week after the whales have arrived in Loreto and in Baja.

Do your boats have? Our boats are very fast (40 miles per hour), they are equipped with VHF
Radios, Shade, Oxygen, Emergency signaling devices, First aid kits, GPS navigation systems, life vests, ladder with a swim platform, and every boat has a highly trained captain for diving operations, and a certified
and highly trained Divemaster familiar with all sites.
Do you have equipment to fit children? No, we recomend that you bring equipment the children.
Do you have a decompression chamber in Loreto? No, we don't have a decompression chamber in Loreto, the nearest chamber is located in La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, or San Diego.
I am not scuba certified, can I still go diving? We have a program called explore scuba diving whereby you will receive basic safety instruction and afterwards a instructor or an assistant instructor will
lead you into a exploration dive
How far are your dive sites? From as little as 11 minutes to as long as 2 hours and 15 minutes.
What sort of affiliations with diving agencies does Baja Outpost has? We are not limited to a single specific dive agency. Our instructors are PADI, CMAS, NAUI,FMAS
I am a beginer diver, can I be comfortable diving with Baja Outpost? We offer daily trips to all leves of experience. Many guests visiting Baja Outpost have just completed their open water course, or have not
dived for a long time, and we take trips to easy sites without currents, where you can easily get back to a comfort level.
Do you offer Nitrox? Not as of now.
I don't have a traveling and diving partner, would that be a problem? No it is not necessary that you visit us with a buddy. We have many single guests, and we will make sure that you have a buddy to dive with.
What dive sites do you visit? Since we were the first to map all of the dive sites in islands of Loreto National Marine Park, and name many of the sites onknown by other operators or dive
companies, we limit to say the name of the islands, which start as north as San Pedro Martir, San Idelfonso, Coronado, Carmen, Danzante, Montserrat, Catalana, Santa Cruz, San Diego, San Jose, Las Animas, San
Francisco.
Do you have underwater cameras for rent? No, we don't offer camera equipment for rent
Do you offer scuba instruction? Yes, we offer scuba instruction.

Can I rent a car in Loreto? Yes, there are 2 rental car agencies in Loreto
Do you have bottled water in Baja Outpost? We have unlimited supply of purifed drinking water at Baja Outpost, and
there is no charge for it. It is included and free of charge
Do you accept pets? Yes, however, they must be on leash at all times, and their owners are responsible for cleaning after them, and for
any damage incurred by their visit.
Do you accept kids? By all means, however, you should make arrangements for looking after your kids while you are participating in activities.
What are the options for dinner in Loreto? We have 6 excellent restaurants within 2-3 city blocks distance away from Baja Outpost.
Do you have a swiming pool? Not yet. However, we have
plans to complete the costruction of a 102 foot swiming pool before the end of 2001
I am a single woman, is it safe for me to visit Loreto? The city of Loreto is a small town with friendly people.
The only industry in Loreto is tourism, and the mexican people are among the friendliests people that you will meet. We don't even lock our houses, and there is no crime found in Loreto.
Do you offer internet access for your customers? Yes, there is a computer for accessing the internet, and it is available between 4:00PM and 7:00PM daily, additional charges to use it apply.
Do you have beach towels or do we need to bring it with us? We don't have beach towels, you may want to bring along
Is there a bank with an ATM in Loreto? Yes we have a bank which
opens Monday-Friday from 8:30AM until 3:00PM, and you have 24 hrs. access to the ATM.
Can we pay with U.S. Dollars while shopping in Loreto? Yes, every one accept U.S. Dollars
Can we use credit cards in Loreto? All restaurants only accept cash.
Is there a doctor and pharmacies in Loreto? Yes, Baja Outpost has a Doctor which speaks english and he can see pay house
visits to your room, should you need it. We have about 8 pharmacies in Loreto, and there is alwaysone pharmacy open 24hr.
What type of Electricity do you have in Loreto? We have 110V
Is there a laundromat in Loreto? We offer laundry services in Baja Outpost for an additional charge.
Do you have a restaurant or bar in Baja Outpost? Yes, we have a bar and we are
about to open our Sea Food restaurant by the end of August 2001.
How close is the beach to Baja Outpost? We have a beach 250 yards away.
Do you have telephones in the rooms?
No, we don't have phones in the rooms.

How do I get to Loreto? We only have 1 international flight a day from the U.S., which departs from Los Angeles airport at 11:30AM. The airline is Aero-California and their phone number in the U.S. is

How do i get to Baja Outpost from Loreto airport? If you are purchasing a package vacation, we pay for the taxi ride, otherwise the taxi from the airport to Baja Outpost cost $15
Do I need a passport to fly to Loreto? If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you need a brith certificate, passport, or a notazired letter from a notary public stating that you are a U.S. Citizen
What about travel insurance cancellation policy? It is recomended to purchase travel insurance policy. Should you have to cancell or postpone your trip due to an emergency, you won't loose your payment.
How far is the airport from Loreto? The airport is 2 miles out of town Do I need to contact a travel agent to book reservations?
No, you may do it by yourself, it will take you 5 minutes booking at our web site.
How long does it take to drive from the border ? It takes 13 hours to drive from the American border to Loreto.

Can I mix activities when purchasing a vacation package? Yes, you may select the number of days for each activity, this way you may design your own vacation package.
Are the package rates per person? Yes, the prices of the packages are per person as stated in our rate page.
Are the room rates per person? The room rates as as stated in our rate pages, it
shows prices based on single, double, or triple occupancy.
Can I mix and choose the number of days for different activities, or must I purchase a standard package? You can choose to select the
number of nights and the number of days for each of the activities that you are interested.
Do your packages include airfare? NO, our packages do not include airfare. Please read next to the
description of what is included in the packages. Loreto airport transfers(transport) means, Taxi transportation from the airport to Baja Outpost, and return to the airport upon return to the U.S.
